Robust Aluminium Housing

Rugged metal cased Surveillance Camera with Sony CCD Image Sensor and inbuilt Infrared Illuminator suitable for zero (total Darkness) to high (Sunlight) illumination levels, this Surveillance Camera has a motorised IR-CUT Filter that ensures excellent colour rendition with visible illumination and maximum low-light and Infrared sensitivity when illumination levels are low or zero.

This Surveillance Camera is ideal for indoor and sheltered outdoor Surveillance in domestic and commercial buildings, it can be easily added to an existing Surveillance Recording system (or replace an under performing Camera), simply connect Video Output from Camera to an unused Security DVR Video input.

Connect to the Composite Video Input (AV, Yellow RCA socket) on a TV, Domestic or commercial Recording Device, if required a Microphone can be easily added and a single small diameter Cable used to carry Video, Audio & Power 20 or more m.

High Resolution 437 664 Pixel CCD Image Sensor this Surveillance Camera has a Sony Charge Coupled Device (CCD) Image Sensor with more than 750 horizontal pixels and significantly higher Sensitivity and higher Signal-to-Noise ratio than a CMOS sensor.

To utilise the full potential of the 437 664 pixel image sensor, this Surveillance Camera employs a Wide-Bandwidth Hawk Image (Digital) Signal Processor with 540 + HTVL video output together with a comprehensive yet easy-to-use On-Screen Setup.

Better than a Dome separate Lens and LED glass eliminates LED-Lens leak-through that results in washed-out low-contrast night images, also eliminated are internal reflections caused by light entering from behind and sides, these problems cannot be resolved with a conventional one-piece Dome.

Colour Day Night Infrared Security Camera to view 'User Manual'

Video Surveillance System: PAL Colour fully compatible with Australian TV System.

Lens: Variable Focal Length 2.8 mm ~ 12 mm Automatic Iris with external focal length & focus adjusters. This Lens will cope with High levels of illumination, pass more light and provide a greater depth-of-field than a fixed Iris Lens, corrected for major Visible-Infrared focus shift, there may be a slight shift that requires a compromise or choice between crisp colour or crisp monochrome. There are no Accessory Lenses for this Security Camera. Security Lens Width of Vision Table.

Image Device: Super HAD CCD 2 795 (H) x 596 (V) 473 820 Pixels 752 (H) x 582 (V) effective pixels ⅓" SONY ICX639BKA Super HAD II CCD. "Super HAD CCD II is a version of Sony's high performance CCD HAD (Hole-Accumulation Diode) sensor with realized sensitivity (typical) of 1000mV or more per 1m2 (Color: F5.6/ BW: F8 in 1 s accumulation equivalent.)

Image Sensor: Active pixels 437 664. Effective resolution 311 040 pixels (based 720x576 DSP output & 0.75 CCD interlace coefficient).

Scanning System: 2 : 1 Interlace, PAL 50 Hz vertical, 15 625 Hz horizontal.

Synchronisation: Internal.

Video Output: 1.14 V p-p Composite Video 75 ohms, suit Australian TV, VCR, AV & Video inputs, BNC socket on ~ 70 cm cable.

Horizontal Pixels: 720 + this value is provided for comparative purposes only. Better than Super-VHS resolution near DTV / DVD (720 pixel) resolution.

Sensitivity: 0.5 lux @ F1.2 in Night mode 10 IRE (this value is approximate and provided for comparative purposes only), 0 lux with LEDs 'ON'.

Infrared Illuminator: 18 Light Emitting Diodes (LED) ~ 850 nm wavelength Infrared, these produce a dull Red visible glow and switch On/Off depending on illumination level. Depending on Lens 'focal length' setting LEDs illuminate up to ~ 80% of the Width-of-Vision at up to ~ 15 m depending on the Infrared reflective characteristics of subject. Objects closer than ~ 2 m may be overexposed when illuminated by LEDs.

Movable Infrared Optical Filter:
Movable Infrared Cut Filter Day positionmoreMovable Infrared Cut Filter Night position
In Day mode (well lit, colour) mechanism automatically positions IR-CUT optical filter between Lens and Image Sensor to exclude Infrared radiation that would otherwise adversely affect colour reproduction, this ensures colour rendition not possible with ordinary non-filtered or notch-filter type Day/Night cameras.

In Night mode (low light, monochrome) mechanism automatically removes IR-CUT optical filter to allow Infrared radiation to pass boosting low light and Infrared sensitivity, the result is significantly better night images using inbuilt Infrared Illuminator or with Infrared rich light sources. Infrared Response without Infrared filter is ~ 700 to ~ 1100 nm better than a 'CCTV notch IR Filter', additional CCTV Infrared Night Vision information.

Automatic Electronic Shutter (AES): 20 milliseconds, low shutter speed eliminates smear associated with High Shutter Speeds necessary to control exposure with fixed iris lenses, additional CCTV Automatic Electronic Shutter information.

Spectral Response: ~ 400 to ~ 1100 nm with Infrared 'CUT' Filter 'out' of optical path, additional CCTV Infrared Night Vision information.

Signal to Noise ratio (SNR): 50 + dB, measured with AGC off.

Automatic Gain Control (AGC): Yes.

Back Light Compensation (BLC): Yes.

Gamma: 0.45.

Automatic White Balance (AWB): 2 200K ~ 10 000K.

On-Screen-Display Setup: All menu functions and parameters are easily set via Up/Down/Left/Right/Enter push button 'Joystick' (pictured below) moulded into Camera Power & Video cable.
