FEATURES:

Real-Time Recording with recommended (or better) PC Hardware is only possible in 'Continuous Recording' mode when no other applications or functions are running on PC.

IBM Compatible PC Digital Video Recording Surveillance System for colour or monochrome Video Cameras, Record and Display or Playback simultaneously.

Video Recording: 1 Camera, expandable to 2, 3 or 4 Cameras with additional Capture Cards.

Time Lapse Recording Modes: Timer Continuous, Timer Motion Detection, Continuous Motion Detection, independently configurable for each Camera.

Motion Detection: Image changes are detected and trigger recording, multiple Masking/Detection Zones for each Camera, adjustable Sensitivity setting 0 ~ 100% for each Camera plus secondary 0 ~ 6 image comparison Tolerance setting, independently configurable for each Camera.

Logs: Separate Logs for each Camera, separate Logs for Motion Detection and Continuous recordings, separate file for each Motion Detection event,  Logs may be searched by Date and Time using from-to period search parameters. Images are stamped with Date and  Time.

Replay: Single click from start to end of period or step through events, 25 playback speeds 1000 :1 ratio, VCR like Pause, Play and Image by Image stepping controls, Snapshots of images may be saved as BMP file or printed.

Distribution of Images: AVI Event files and BMP files (converted to smaller JPEG files) may be easily distributed as an e-mail attachment to security personnel, Police, etc. Images and AVI files may be duplicated and archived to Floppy Disc, CD ROM, DVD, removable Hard Drives, Tape Drives, copied/moved over LAN, etc.

Storage: On multiple Hard Disk Drives on host PC, oldest files are overwritten on a First-In First-Out (FIFO) basis to avoid loss of current surveillance recordings, user configurable deleted block size when overwriting oldest files.

Viewing: During recording on local PC and Dial-In remote via PC and Modem or LAN.

Automatic Notification: In Motion Detection mode - Dial-Out to Pager(s), Dial-Out to Telephone(s), Dial-Out via Modem to Remote PC, via WWW when a 24 hour connection is available and Local and Remote Site have fixed IP Addresses, user configurable notification priority.

Warnings: Sound Files may be associated with each Camera and configured to automatically play when image changes are detected. Visual On-Screen notification of low Disk space and Motion Detection.

Date & Time Stamp: On images, user configurable position, font and colour.

Capture Rate: In MOTION-DETECTION Mode 10 + images per second per Camera, depends on PC Hardware, number of Cameras, number of Cameras being recorded, image content, other running tasks such as Remote View, Dial-Out, Playback, etc.

Password Protection: Load System - Open Video Camera - Setup Remote User - Exit System - Close Video Camera - Playback Video.

Stability: Includes a Re-Boot Application that allows scheduling of an automatic periodical Re-Boot of PC. This application helps overcome problems such as diminishing PC/OS Performance/Stability that sometimes occurs as Up-Time (period since Boot-Up) increases.

Image Compression: User adjustable to balance File Size against Image Quality.

Huge Storage capacity 1 600 000 ~ 2 000 000 Images with 50 GigaByte HDD @ maximum Image Quality setting, even greater capacity @ lower Image Quality settings, this estimation is based on a sampling of 100 image files. By comparison the image capacity of a VCR with 3 hour tape is just 540 000 images (50 fields per second x 3 600 second x 3 hours).

Image Quality: Lower-Noise, Deterioration-Free and more consistent than possible with a VHS VCR.

Compatible with CCIR/PAL (Australia - UK) and EIA/NTSC (USA - Japan) TV Systems.

Eliminates: High cost of a Time Lapse VCR, Quad Processor, Maintenance and Cassettes.

Eliminates: Tedious and time consuming review / searching of tape recordings, labelling and storage of tapes.

Continuous Operation: No down-time while tape rewinds, is changed or replayed.

CAPTURE CARD:

Single Chip Bt878 BrookTree IC Video Capture, PCI 2.1 compliant.

KEY FUNCTIONS: GoVideo-W98/2k Surveillance System to read User Notes.

Time Lapse Continuous and Motion Detection recording modes with separate Timer Schedules for each mode, individually configurable for each Camera.

Motion Detection recording mode with adjustable sensitivity setting and secondary 6 level image comparison setting to trigger recording when image changes are detected, individually configurable for each Camera.

Motion Detection mode includes Automatic Dial-Out to: Pager(s), Telephone(s), Remote PC via Modem or via WWW when a 24 hour connection is available and Local and Remote Site have fixed IP Addresses. User configurable notification priority. All individually configurable for each Camera

Motion Detection mode eliminates tedious and unproductive visual monitoring, the system may be configured to play a standard or custom audio file associated with each camera when motion is detected. User's attention to activity in areas under surveillance may be announced by PC Sound System ie: "Movement in Car Park" - "Movement in Cash Room / Safe" - etc - etc.

Remote access to images on PC running Surveillance System via Dial-In Modem or TCP/IP.

Each Camera can be configured with its own Continuous and/or Motion Detection Recording Schedule, Sensitivity, Video Compression, Masking/Detection Areas, Audible Alarm sound file, LAN, Dial-In and Dial-Out parameters.

Masking allows user to define Detection Areas where image changes will be detected, multiple detection areas (64 x 48 grid) may be defined anywhere on image, individually configurable for each Camera.

Logs for each Camera, separate Log for Motion Detection and Continuous recordings, separate file for each Motion Detection event,  Logs may be searched by Date and Time using from-to period search parameters, each image is stamped with Date & Time.

Recordings may be stored to one or more Hard Disk Drive(s).

Recyclable data storage, system automatically overwrites oldest files to avoid loss of current surveillance recordings, user configurable value to overwrite files when disk space is below a certain value and user configurable deleted block size, eliminates the need to regularly review and delete recordings.

During Playback any image may be saved as a BMP file then edited (Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Cut Paste, etc) with a Graphics application and converted to other file formats such as JPEG to reduce file size.

During Playback any image may be selected and printed.

AVI Video Clips, BMP and JPEG files may be easily copied and archived to Floppy Disc, CD ROM, DVD, removable Tape or HDD, etc.

AVI Video Clips, BMP and JPEG files may be easily and quickly distributed via e-mail or LAN for viewing by Police, Security Personnel, etc.

AVI files can be viewed Full-Screen using standard Windows MS Media Player, BMP and JPEG files can be viewed with MS Paint, Quick View, etc, no special software required.

Sequential capture and analysis (in Motion Detection mode) of images from each input at 320 x 240 resolution.

* LOWER-NOISE
* HIGHER-RESOLUTION see comparison below
* DETERIORATION-FREE
* CONSISTENT IMAGE QUALITY

Compared to conventional 4 Camera Quad / VCR recording systems that are susceptible to fluctuating results depending on condition of Tape, VCR Heads and Transport mechanisms.

GoVideo-W98/2k: 320 (H) x 240 (V) per camera = 76 800 pixels.

Quad & VHS VCR: Frame Recording ~ 160 x ~ 288 per camera = 46 080 pixels, 40% less data.

Above comparison is for a VCR operating in Frame-Recording mode, most VCRs in Time-Lapse mode only record Fields therefore the situation is considerably worse as only 144 (not 288) horizontal scan lines are recorded per camera. In Field mode per camera pixels for VHS are: 23 040, 70% less data.
