on a First-In First-Out (FIFO) basis to avoid loss of current surveillance
recordings, user configurable deleted block size when overwriting oldest files.

Warnings: Sound Files may be associated with each Camera and configured to

Stability: Includes a Re-Boot Application that allows scheduling of an automatic
periodical Re-Boot of PC. This application helps overcome problems such as
diminishing PC/OS Performance/Stability that sometimes occurs as Up-Time (period
since Boot-Up) increases.

Storage capacity 1 600 000 ~ 2 000 000 Images with 50 GigaByte HDD @ maximum
Image Quality setting, even greater capacity @ lower Image Quality settings,
this estimation is based on a sampling of 100 image files. By comparison the
image capacity of a VCR with 3 hour tape is just 540 000 images (50 fields per

Compared to conventional 4 Camera Quad / VCR recording systems that are
susceptible to fluctuating results depending on condition of Tape, VCR Heads and
GoVideo-W98/2k: 320 (H) x 240 (V) per camera = 76 800 pixels.
VHS VCR: Frame Recording ~ 160 x ~ 288 per camera = 46 080 pixels, 40%
comparison is for a VCR operating in Frame-Recording mode, most VCRs in
Time-Lapse mode only record Fields therefore the situation is
considerably worse as only 144 (not 288) horizontal scan lines are recorded per
camera. In Field mode per camera pixels for VHS are: 23 040, 70% less
Pentium 1 GHz minimum, Celeron not recommended.
