VGA Splitters Extenders
Passive Baluns Active Amplifiers for transmission of
VGA &
Component-Video over Cat5 Twisted Pair Cable up to 300 metres.
Use existing (or easily install) Network Cabling in Homes & Businesses
to cost effectively extend VGA signals from Digital Video
Recorders, Computers
(PC & Apple)
& Component-Video signals (YUV
RGB YCbCr YPbPr)
up to 135 metres (BalUn) & up to 300 metres (Active VGA Amplifier
Extender Distributor). Split signals up to five ways & distribute
to multiple areas, eliminate the cost &
difficulty associated with cumbersome inflexible Coaxial Cable.
These passive
(unpowered) and Amplified devices
are suitable for use with common flexible small diameter inexpensive

Skew ?
For use with VGA-Dist4+1 (above) and in situations
where Skew
is a severe problem, simply replace VGA-RX included in above with
this device to reduce/eliminate severe Skew.
Also suitable for use in pairs (Daisy-Chained) to extend VGA
transmission distance beyond 300 metres.
Ideal for situations where Cat5e, Cat6 & other Low-Crosstalk Cabling
has already been been installed, low crosstalk TP is fine for a LAN
but causes & exacerbates Skew when used for transmission of VGA
signals. Crosstalk reduction in Cat-5e & Cat-6 is achieved in part
by deliberately twisting the individual pairs in a 4 pair Cable at
different rates to reduce coupling, the consequence of this is that
pair lengths are unequal causing Skew.

Results may vary depending on:
Resolution/Refresh rate, Cable-Length and Cable
characteristics.
Output
level of Source device (PC, DVR) and input sensitivity of Receiving
device (Monitor).
&
In particular the
length of RGB pairs, variations may cause Skew
that will become more evident as Cable-Length, Resolution and
Refresh rate are increased,
Skew-Correct can be used to reduce/eliminate
Skew.
Some brands/models of
Monitors are very sensitive to sync levels and may function poorly.
Skew If all three
RGB Pairs are of equal length Skew will not occur, however in
practice the number of Twists in each Pair does vary, this variation
affects the timing of the signals arriving at the Receiver resulting
in a horizontal displacement of the Red
Green Blue
images on the Monitor.
Skew
increases with Cable Length, Resolution and Refresh
rate, reducing these will reduce Skew,
in most situations
Skew-Correct or VGAskewRXwill eliminate or significantly reduceSkew.
